Shine Cup December 2015
2015 Shine Cup was held on Wednesday 2nd December!
Shine was very privileged to have Lynne Hutchison, an Olympian from the 2012 Olympics, and Cleo Hooper a member of the 2012 Rhythmic gymnastic Olympic Judging team, come and judge the budding beginners in the sport.
22 Gymnasts competed from Shine Rhythmic gymnastics at different levels, Novice, level 1 and level 2. There was a great atmosphere in the room and everyone enjoyed themselves, parents, gymnasts and head coach alike.

SHINE/iSTAR ACADEMY RHYTHMIC GYMNASTICS BRITISH UNDER 12 CHAMPION
Hannah has worked hard this year to qualify for the English championships and the British championships which took place in May. Hannah had worked so hard to qualify that I personally hadn’t given thought to her winning, but that is what she did. Collecting silver over all at the English then Gold overall at the British which is the most prestigious competition of the year.
Finishing the competition off with claiming 3 more gold’s in the individuals on the Sunday and 1 silver.
Shine Rhythmic Gymnastics’ British Championship hope!
Hannah Martin, an 11-year-old Elite rhythmic gymnast, won 2 gold medals at the British Open in February 2014.
Hannah trains at Southfields Community College (Aspire), she has also qualified for the English Championships, and has been chosen as a member for the GRB National Espoir Squad, preparing for the 2020 Olympic Games. Larna Martin, Hannah’s Coach, Supporter, and mother, also runs a recreational rhythmic gymnastics class, at Southfields Community College, where Hannah also coaches, making it a fun and productive environment!
Hannah Martin also trains once a week at I-star Academy in Shoreham run by Maria Foster. All in all there are very high hopes for this young rhythmic gymnast. More information about the club phone Larna on phone: 02085160207
Grade 1 and 2 pass on the 26th June 2013
Well done to them all
